Barry RheinAbout Founder - Barry Rhein. For the past 30+ years, Barry Rhein has been the most sought-after sales trainer and consultant in Silicon Valley. His sales seminars and curiosity-based methodology have been widely praised for moving far beyond theory and into simple, practical steps that have an immediate impact on the attitudes, skills, effectiveness, and earnings of the participants. Barry is known for his ability to get results in days that would normally take years for most sales people to master. Barry's career as a trainer started when he was just a 17-year-old high school senior: he ran a very successful dog training business and was utterly confused by the fact that he could train a dog in just two days, but it would take up to 12 weeks to train any owner to work with the dog.

Since then, Barry has been dedicated to removing complexity from the training process and drastically cutting the time it takes to create real, lasting, and positive change in his students. Barry then spent a year as a police officer in San Jose. After deciding that this was a fun job, but a lousy career for him, he remained in the reserves, but joined the work force as a sales representative. During his tenure in the reserves he has served on several tactical narcotics SWAT teams as a tactical officer and as an instructor providing SWAT training to new officers in the unit. It was as a police officer that Barry developed his beliefs that you should "never confuse good luck with good tactics" and "never let chance dictate your success in life."

As a salesperson, Barry sold for numerous companies and was nationally ranked based on both sales and margin dollars. Barry rose quickly into sales management. After experiencing bureaucracy and lack of creativity in corporate America, he started Barry Rhein & Associates in 1983, founded on the belief that sales training must produce measurable results. Barry’s many successes as a sales trainer include work with Salesforce.com, which uses his sales workshops and teachings worldwide. Additional successes are with Hewlett-Packard, Business Objects, Ariba, and Informatica, as well as hundreds of other companies and thousands of independent salespeople.

Barry currently resides in California’s Los Gatos Mountains, is happily married, and has three fantastic children.
